Cozaar (Losartan) is used to lower mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) and used to lower the risk of stroke in certain people with heart disease. It is also used to slow long-term kidney damage in people with type 2 diabetes who also have high blood pressure. Losartan belongs to a group of medications known as angiotensin II receptor blockers.
