Vaniqa cream (Eflornithine Hydrochloride) is a prescription cream that is used to reduce unwanted facial hair in women. Vaniqa cream does not remove facial hair or prevent hair growth permanently. Eflornithine works by interfering with an enzyme in hair follicles that makes the hair grow. Vaniqa cream is applied to the affected areas of the skin to reduce the growth of unwanted hair. You may see the benefits of Vaniqa cream within two months after you start treatment.
