Triumeq (Abacavir/Dolutegravir/Lamivudine) is prescription medication used to treat human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection. It is a combination product that containing three anti-HIV drugs: abacavir (Ziagen, which is a nucleoside analogues or nukes), dolutegravir (Tivicay, which is an integrase inhibitors), lamivudine (Epivir, which is a nuke). These three HIV drugs work together by decreasing the amount of HIV virus to help strengthen the immune system. This medicine is NOT a cure for HIV or AIDS. Take Triumeq exactly prescribed.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Triumeq include:
• Diarrhea;
• Difficult sleeping;
• Headache;
• Nauseas;
• Vomiting;

• High blood pressure;
• High cholesterol;

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines including herbal supplements, especially: dofetilide (Tikosyn) or other HIV medications. This may cause a serious or fatal drug interaction. Triumeq should be avoided for women during breastfeeding. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby.
