Tofranil (Imipramine) is a prescription medication used to treat depression, and is also used with other therapies for the treatment of nighttime bed-wetting in children. This medication helps improve your mood, sleep, appetite, energy level, and help restore your daily living. Tofranil belongs to a class of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. It works by restoring the balance of neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine in the brain. For bed-wetting, this medication works by blocking the effect of a certain natural substance on the bladder.
We currently offer the brand Tofranil from Turkey manufactured by Novartis. The generic Imipramine is available from India also called Antidep by Torrent Pharma and from Canada by a different manufacturer.
