Rydapt (Midostaurin)

Rydapt (Midostaurin) is a prescription medication that is used to treat certain types of blood cell cancer such as acute myeloid leukemia-AML, mast cell leukemia-MCL) or an immune system disorder called mastocytosis. Midostaurin is a multikinase inhibitor that is used orally. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells and certain immune system cells. This medication is taken by mouth with food usually twice daily or as directed by your doctor.

• Easy bruising or bleeding;

Inform your doctor if you are using marijuana. Both men and women using Rydapt should use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy. Midostaurin can harm an unborn baby or cause birth defects if the mother or father is using this medication. You should not breast-feed while using this medication and for at least 4 months after you stop using this medication.
