RepHresh Pro-B (oral feminine Probiotic supplement) is an over-the-counter medication used to keep the vaginal healthy by maintaining the normal vaginal floral and balance between the bacteria and yeast around the vaginal among sexually active women of reproductive age. Lactobacillus, yeast, and other bacteria naturally colonize the vaginal, although optimum vaginal health occurs when these organisms have a healthy balance. Probiotics introduce good bacteria to promote a healthy environment. Since the body has limited resources to sustain good and bad bacteria, it is important to encourage good bacteria to help keep harmful bacteria from flourishing. By maintaining the healthy flora in a normal range, probiotics support vaginal health and reduce the risk of recurrent vaginal infections.
