Redoxon (Vitamins) is an over-the-counter product used to treat and prevent Vitamin C and Zinc deficiencies. It is often used to support the immune system, especially at the onset of cold and flu symptoms, or in cases of increased demand, like wound healing. Vitamin C deficiency primarily results from inadequate dietary intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, pregnancy, illness, smoking, or surgery. Zinc deficiency stems from insufficient nutritional intake, malabsorption syndromes, chronic diseases, medications, alcoholism, and increased metabolic demand during pregnancy or illness. The active ingredients in Redoxon are Vitamin C and Zinc. Redoxon belongs to a class of drugs called vitamins and Mineral Supplements. Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Redoxon. The most common side effects of Redoxon may include the following:
• Abdominal cramps;
• Diarrhea;
• Heartburn;
• Nausea;
• Vomiting
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Hyperoxaluria (kidney stone formation);
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat

There may be drug interactions between Redoxon and other medicines, such as warfarin, cyclosporine, desferrioxamine, indinavir, etc. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Although Redoxon is considered safe for use in pregnancy, consult with your doctor before use. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed. Vitamin C and Zinc are excreted in breast milk. Your dose may need to be different when breastfeeding.
Use this medicine exactly as your doctor prescribes it. Redoxon is an effervescent tablet. Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water and take it once per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Vitamin C can interfere with specific test kits used to measure blood sugar levels. Ask your doctor if your test result can be affected by taking vitamin supplements. Store Redoxon at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep out of the reach of children.
