Rapamune (Sirolimus, also known as Rapamycin) is a prescription medication that is used with other medications to prevent rejection of a kidney transplant. Sirolimus belongs to the class of medications known as immunosuppresants. This medication works by weakening the body’s immune system to help your body accept the new organ as its own. Rapamune is used in adults who are at a low to moderate risk of rejection.
Canadian Pharmacy King offers the brand Rapamune from Canada manufactured by Pfizer. We also carry the generic Sirolimus also called Rapacan from India manufactured by Biocon Pharma. This medication is available in the strength of 1 mg tablets.
The common side effects may include acne, diarrhea, joint pain, shaking and trouble sleeping.
