Prezcobix (Darunavir/Cobicistat) is a medication prescription used to help control HIV (human immundeficiency virus) infections. It contains two active substances: darunavir (also known as Prezista) and cobicistat. Darunavir is a HIV protease inhibitor to decrease the account of HIV virus so your immune system can work better. Cobicistat is a “booster” agent used to increase Darunavir to the correct level in the body. Always take Prezcobix together with other antiretroviral medicines to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in adults. It is NOT a cure for HIV or AIDs. Take Prezcobix exactly as prescribed.

• If you are using hormone-based birth control;

Especially: antivirals, blood thinners, cholesterol drugs, erectile dysfunction (ED) or hypertension drug, St. John’s wort, and other HIV medications. This may change how your medications work or increase the risk for serious side effects. Grapefruits and grapefruit juice may interact Prezcobix and cause severe adverse effects. Prezcobix should NOT be used in pregnant women or women who need breastfeeding.
