Prempro(Conjugated Estrogens + Medroxyprogesterone) is a combination medication that is used to treat the symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, burning, and irritation. It may also be used by women to prevent osteoporosis after menopause. This medication works by relieving menopausal symptoms by replacing the estrogen and progesterone that the ovaries no longer produce. The progestin in this medication helps to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus which can be caused by using estrogen.
