Plendil (Felodipine) is a prescription medication used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat high blood pressure in adults. Left untreated, high blood pressure can lead to damage to vital organs, including the brain, blood vessels, heart, and kidneys. This damage can lead to conditions like heart disease, heart attack, kidney failure, stroke, heart failure, and vision loss. The active ingredient in Plendil is Felodipine. Felodipine belongs to a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing the heart to pump less forcefully and thereby lower blood pressure.
