Palladia (Toceranib Phosphate) is a prescription medication used to treat certain types of cancer in dogs. It is used to treat mast cell tumors, sarcomas, carcinomas, melanomas, and multiple myeloma. The active ingredient in Palladia is Toceranib Phosphate. Toceranib Phosphate belongs to a class of medications known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). It works by blocking specific enzymes known as receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). These enzymes are often overactive in cancer cells and play a key role in the growth, spread, and survival of tumors. By inhibiting these enzymes, toceranib phosphate can decrease the growth of cancer cells.
