Onsior (Robenacoxib) is a prescription medication used primarily in cats and dogs to manage pain and inflammation associated with soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, as well as osteoarthritis. Get medical help immediately if your dog or cat has any of these signs or an allergic reaction while receiving Onsior. The most common side effects of Onsior may include the following:
• Diarrhea;
• Lethargy;
• Reduced appetite;
• Vomiting
Contact your veterinarian right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Blood in vomit or stool;
• Excessive thirst or urination;
• Persistent vomiting or diarrhea;
• Signs of an allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or throat;
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes

You should not administer Onsior if your dog or cat is allergic to Robenacoxib or any ingredient in Onsior. Before you start administering this medication, tell your veterinarian about your pet's medical history, especially if it:

• Has ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines;
• Is dehydrated;
• Is lactating;
• Is pregnant or breeding
Tell your veterinarian about all your pet's medications, including prescription, OTC, herbal supplements, and vitamins. There may be drug interactions between Onsior and other medicines, such as carprofen, prednisone, furosemide, enalapril, etc. Tell your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant or breeding. The safety and effectiveness of Onsior in pregnant or breeding dogs have not been established. Inform your veterinarian if your pet is lactating. It is unknown if Robenacoxib is excreted in breast milk. This medicine is not recommended for nursing animals.
Administer this medicine exactly as your veterinarian prescribes it. Onsior is available as tablets. Do not crush or break the tablets. Give this medicine once daily at the lowest effective dose and for the shortest time necessary to control symptoms. You can give this medicine with or without food. However, administering the drug with a small meal may reduce stomach upset. For surgery-related pain, the first dose is often given before the procedure, followed by daily doses afterward as directed. This medicine is for veterinary use only. Do not use in humans. Administer the appropriate dose for your pet's weight category. Monitor your pet closely for side effects, especially during the first few days of use. Provide plenty of fresh water to support kidney function. Store this drug at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep out of the reach of children.
