Myfortic is usually given with cyclosporine and a steroid medication. Mycophenolic acid belongs to the class of medications called immunosuppressants. It works by weakening the body’s defense system to help your body accept the new kidney as if it were your own.
The brand Myfortic is available from Canada manufactured by Novartis. The generic Mycophenolic acid comes from Canada manufactured by a different manufacturer. Myfortic is available in the strength of 180 mg and 360 mg tablets.
