Lynkuet (Elinzanetant) is a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (VMS), commonly known as hot flashes and night sweats, associated with menopause. It is a non-hormonal treatment option that helps reduce both the frequency and intensity of these symptoms. The active ingredient in Lynkuet is elinzanetant. It belongs to a class of medications known as neurokinin 1 (NK1) and neurokinin 3 (NK3) receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the activity of neurokinin B and substance P at specific receptors in the brain's thermoregulatory center, helping restore the temperature balance often disrupted by declining estrogen levels during menopause.
