Hylo Eye Care is a prescription and over-the-counter medication used to prevent dry eyes. Dry eye is a common condition that occurs when the eyes don't produce enough tears to keep them wet and comfortable. When your eyes are dry, they signal your tear glands to produce more tears, which can lead to overproduction of tears. The drug is also used to rewet contact lenses to minimize dryness. The active ingredients in Hylo eye care are Hyaluronic acid and Dexpanthenol. Hyaluronic acid belongs to a class of medications called glycosaminoglycan. It works by stabilizing tear film and retaining moisture. Dexpanthenol belongs to a class of drugs called amino alcohols. It works by moisturizing your eye surface and creating a barrier effect.
