Calan SR (Verapamil SR) is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain, and certain heart rhythm disorders. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Verapamil SR belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of the heart and blood vessels so blood can flow better.
We currently offer the brand Calan SR from India (Calaptin SR) and Turkey (Isoptin SR) by Abbott and Canada (Isoptin SR) by BGP Pharma. The generic Verapamil SR comes from the United Kingdom and Canada by different manufacturers.
