Bystolic (Nebivolol) is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Nebivolol belongs to a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). This medication works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. It lowers the blood pressure which may lower the risk of a stroke or heart attack.
