Intramuscular injections are injections that are delivered directly into a muscle. BD SafetyGlide IM Injection is not a drug and does not contain active pharmaceutical ingredients. It is made of materials like stainless steel (for the needle itself). It often has a silicone-based lubricant to facilitate smoother skin penetration. The needle is usually attached to a standard syringe and medication is drawn through the needle before a doctor inserts the needle into the selected intramuscular injection site.
