Atectura (Indacaterol/Mometasone Furoate) is a combination medication used to treat asthma in adults and adolescents over the age of 12 years old with reversible obstructive airways disease. Indacaterol belongs to the class of drugs known as long-acting beta agonists (LABAs), also known as a bronchodilator; it works in the airways by relaxing muscle and opening air passages to improve breathing. Mometasone Furoate belongs to a class of drugs knowns as corticosteroids; it works by reducing inflammation of the airways in the lungs to make breathing easier.
