Ascensia Contour Next comes as a blood glucose monitoring system. The device has an easy-to-use system with big numbers on display. It has a smartLIGHT feature that makes it quicker and easier to interpret blood glucose readings using colored lights. Use Ascensia Contour Next test strip with the meter. Insert the grey square end of the test strip into the test strip port until the meter beeps. This will turn the meter on. The screen will display a strip and blood, indicating it is ready to test for blood drop. Apply the blood to the test strip within 3 minutes of turning the meter on. Otherwise, the meter will turn off. If the meter turns off because no blood was applied to the strip, remove the test strip and reinsert it to begin the test. Hold the tip of the test strip in the blood drop until the blood glucose meter beeps. If the blood glucose meter beeps twice and the screen displays “Apply more blood to continue testing,” the test strip does not have enough blood. Apply more blood to the same test strip within 30 seconds. The blood glucose meter comes with an AutoLog feature that lets you mark your test result as “Fasting,” “Before Meal,” “After Meal,” and “NoMark”. Select the mark for your reading using the buttons on the meter. After selecting your meal marker, the meter will display your blood glucose result. The blood glucose test results will be stored in your meter logbook. Store Ascensia Contour Next at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
