Anzupgo Information
Anzupgo (delgocitinib) is a prescription topical cream for adults with moderate-to-severe chronic hand eczema (CHE) when conventional topical corticosteroid therapies are inadequate or clinically inappropriate. CHE is a persistent inflammatory dermatosis of the hands and wrists characterized by severe pruritus (itching), erythema (redness), scaling, lichenification (skin thickening), and painful fissures or vesiculation (cracking and blistering). The active ingredient in Anzupgo is delgocitinib. It belongs to a class of medications known as Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors, specifically inhibiting JAK1, JAK2, JAK3, and tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2). It works by blocking JAK-STAT signaling, a pathway that drives the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines that contribute to the redness, itching, and skin thickening seen in chronic hand eczema.

We currently offer the brand Anzupgo, manufactured in Canada by Leo, in the strength of 2%/60 gm cream. The generic delgocitinib is currently unavailable (at this pharmacy).
Get medical help immediately if you have any of these signs or an allergic reaction while using Anzupgo. The most common side effects of Anzupgo may include the following:
• Application site pain;
• Bacterial skin infections, such as finger cellulitis or paronychia (nail bed infection);
• Decreased white blood cell count (leukopenia or neutropenia);
• Erythema (redness) at the application site;
• Paresthesia (tingling or numbness);
• Pruritus (itching);
Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the severe side effects, including:
• Blood Clot Effects: Swelling, pain, or warmth in a leg, or sudden chest pain and shortness of breath;
• Serious Infections: Fever, chills, persistent cough, or other signs of infection, including eczema herpeticum (a viral skin infection);
• Skin Changes: New or changing skin growths or lesions, which may indicate a non-melanoma skin cancer;
These are not all of Anzupgo's side effects. Always contact your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.
You should not use Anzupgo if you are allergic to delgocitinib or any of its ingredients. Before you start using this medication, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you:
• Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding;
• Have a history of blood clots, heart disease, or are 50 years of age or older;
• Have a history of cancer or low blood cell counts;
• Have an active infection or a history of chronic or recurrent infections;
• Have been exposed to tuberculosis;
Tell your doctor about all your medications, including prescription medications, OTC medications, herbal supplements, and vitamins. Do not use Anzupgo with other JAK inhibitors or potent immunosuppressants.
