Anthelios Sunscreen (UV Protection) is an over-the-counter product used to protect the skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. Regular use helps to prevent sunburn, premature skin aging, and reduces the risk of skin cancer. The active ingredients in Anthelios Sunscreen are chemical UV filters. UV filters belong to a class of medications known as UV filters. It works by absorbing harmful UV rays, converting them into a low level of heat, and then releasing the heat from the skin.
