Zebeta (Bisoprolol fumarate) is used to treat mild to medium high blood pressure. It can be used alone or with other drugs to control blood pressure. Zebeta is a type of medicine called a beta-blocker. It works by decreasing the blood pressure and reducing how hard the heart has to work. Do not miss doses or take extra doses, unless your healthcare professional tells you. You may take Zebeta along with other medications to help control your blood pressure. Take these medications as prescribed. Take Zebeta once daily and at about the same time every day. Take Zebeta tablets whole. Do not chew or crush them. Do not skip doses or stop taking Zebeta without first talking to your doctor. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse or cause other serious heart problems. If you need surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using Zebeta. Your blood pressure will need to be checked often. Keep using Zebeta as directed, even if you feel well.
