Vizimpro (Dacomitinib) is a prescription medication that used for the treatment of non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread to other parts of the body. This medication is used as the first treatment if your tumor has certain types of abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genes. Dacomitinib belongs to the group of medications called protein-tyrosine-kinase inhibitor. This medication works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply, which helps slow or stop the cancer cells from spread. Vizimpro is usually taken once daily with or without food.

Use reliable forms of birth control while using this medication and for at least 17 days after stopping treatment. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding.
