Vastarel is intended for use in adult patients, in combination with other medicines to treat angina pectoris (chest pain caused by coronary disease). It protects the heart cells from the effects of a reduced oxygen supply during an episode of angina. Vastarel is also used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of ringing in the ears, inner ear problem. Always take Vastarel exactly as your doctor has told you. Vastarel is not recommended for children aged below 18 years and for patients with severe kidney disease. Take Vastarel with a glass of water at mealtimes. If you forget to take one or more doses, do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you take too many tablets, please contact your doctor or the nearest hospital immediately. You should discuss with your doctor before you stop taking Vastarel.

The common side effects of Vastarel may include dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, indigestion, feeling sick, vomiting, rash, itching, hives and feeling of weakness. Contact your doctor right away if you have any of the following symptoms:
• Fast or irregular heartbeats;
• Rigid posture;
• Slow movements and a shuffling, fall;
• Trembling;

This medicine contains Ponceau 4R aluminium lake (E 124) and sunset yellow FCF aluminium lake (E110) which may cause allergic reactions. Tell your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist about all the medicines you take, including drugs prescribed by other doctors, vitamins, minerals, natural supplements, or alternative medicines.
