Miebo Eye Drops (Perfluorohexyloctane) is a prescription medication used to treat dry eye. Dry eye disease is a common condition that occurs when your tears cannot provide enough lubrication for your eyes. Symptoms of dry eyes include eye redness, scratchy or burning sensation in the eyes, sensitivity to light, and watery eyes. The active ingredient in Miebo is Perfluorohexyloctane. Perfluorohexyloctane belongs to a class of drugs called ophthalmic anti-inflammatory agents. It works by targeting the primary cause of dry eye and prevent tear evaporation. The drug keeps the tears from drying up, keeping the eye moist and decreasing symptoms of dry eyes.
