Jorveza (Budesonide Orodispersible Tablet) is a prescription medication used to treat adults with eosinophilic oesophagitis, an inflammation of the oesophagus. This causes symptoms including dysphagia and obstruction of the oesophagus. Budesonide is a corticosteroid medication that works by reducing inflammation by attaching to immune cell receptors and reducing the release of substances that are involved in the inflammation process. Jorveza Orodispersible tablet dissolves in the mouth and carried by the saliva to the oesophagus where it reduces the inflammation and relieves the symptoms of eosinophilic oesophagitis.
