Bravecto (Furalaner) is a veterinary medicine used to provide protection against flea and tick for dogs and cats. It contains the active ingredient, Furalaner works by killing parasites that live on the skin or in the fur of animals, such as fleas and ticks. It can be used to treat flea allergy dermatitis (an allergic reaction to flea bites. Bravecto is available as a spot-on solution in a pipette for use on dogs and cats. Bravecto can kill fleas within 8 hours and ticks within 12 hours in dogs. It is available by prescription only at your vet. Read the product label carefully before use.

The Bravecto spot-on solution is available in different strengths for dogs in different weights: 112.5 mg 2 Pipettes for very small dogs (2-4.5kg), 250 mg 2 Pipettes for small dogs (4.5-10kg), and 500 mg 2 pipettes for medium dogs (10-20kg). There is no generic equivalent of Bravecto.
The common side effects of Bravecto include a mild short-lived skin reaction at the application site, such as erythema (redness), pruritus (itching), or decreased appetite, diarrhea, hair loss, lethargy and vomiting.
