Hidden Toxics in Your Home
According to The World Health Organization, 4.3 million people a year die from exposure to household air pollution. Poor ventilation, overdue of cleaning chemicals, damp any many other factors can cause lots of health problems including asthma, heart disease and cancer.

So, what is potentially hazardous in your home? Look at household cleansers, many of them contain powerful and often toxic solvents, antibiotic pesticides and other chemicals. If used incorrectly it can be dangerous. Gases, like CO and NO2 result from burning gas, wood or fossil fuels in heating systems, stoves and other home appliances can be potentially dangerous too.

Mold, damp, dust and tobacco smoke can lead to lung decease and respiratory conditions.

How to protect yourself and avoid household pollution? You can minimise the presence of noxious chemicals in the home by choosing non-toxic, "green" versions of many products, but the most effective way is to ventilate your home.
