Valisone-G (Betamethasone Valerate and Gentamicin) is prescription medication used to treat allergic or inflammatory skin rashes such as dermatitis (eczema) and psoriasis. Valisone-G is a topical skin preparation contains two active ingredients: betamethasone valerate and gentamicin sulfate. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that helps to reduce skin irritation, itching, and redness. Gentamicin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria caused by certain types of infections. • Valisone-G Cream: Betamethasone Valerate 0.1%/Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1%/30 gm
• Valisone-G Ointment: Betamethasone Valerate 0.1%/Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1%/30 gm
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Valisone-G include burning, itching, or stinging at the application site. If you suffer any serious side effects as below, please notify your doctor or pharmacist immediately:
• Easy bruising;
• Depression;
• Increased skin sensitivity;
• Irregular menstrual periods;
• Irregular heartbeat;
• Muscle cramp or pain;
• Skin discoloration or infection;
• Unusual hair growth.
Customer Precautions
Do not use Valisone-G if you are allergic to Betamethasone Valerate or Gentamicin or any other ingredients in this medication. Tell your doctor about all the medical conditions you have had before, especially if you have:
• Chicken box;
• Herpes simplex;
• Infections;
• Tuberculosis of the skin;
• Vaccinia;
• Viral skin lesions.
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking including prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines including herbal supplements, especially: antibiotics and corticosteroids. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
