Technivie (Ombitasvir/Paritaprevir/Ritonavir, also known as Viekirax) is a medication prescription used with ribavirin for the treatment of genotype 4 chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection without cirrhosis. It is a fixed-dose combination of ombitasvir and paritaprevir (two direct-acting antivirals), and ritonavir (brand name: Norvir) which are antiviral medications that prevent virus replication in your body. Technivie should be always used in combination with ribavirin (brand name: Rebetol). Take Technivie exactly as prescribed.

Technivie Side Effects
The most common side effects of Technivie include:
• Fatigue or weak;

• If you are using any hormone birth control pills or products;
• Hepatitis B;
• HIV (human immunodeficiency virus);
• If you have received a liver transplant;
• Liver disease other than HCV infection;

Especially: alfuzosin, antipsychotic medicine, birth control pills or patches, cholesterol-lowering medicine, colchicine, dronedarone, efavirenz, ergot medicine, hormone replacement therapy, oral midazolam, ranolazine, rifampin, seizure medicine, sildenafil (Revatio), St. John's wort, vaginal ring, and etc. Technivie should NOT be used in pregnant women. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
