Tasmar is used with other medications to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (typically carbidopa and levodopa), such as stiffness, tremors, muscle spasms, and poor muscle control. It increases levels of levodopa in the body so it can last longer in the body and doesn’t wear off between doses. Tasmar is usually given to people who are already taking Carbidopa and Levodopa but their treatment have not been successful.
