Kemadrin (Procyclidine) is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control. It is also used to treat involuntary movements due to the side effects of certain psychiatric drugs such as chlorpromazine, fluphenazine, and perphenazine. Kemadrin belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. It works by blocking a certain natural substance called acetylcholine. This medication helps decrease muscle stiffness, sweating, production of saliva, and helps improve walking ability in people with Parkinson’s disease.
