FLUDARA® is used for the treatment of patients with alkylating-agent–refractory B-cell CLL. Doctors prescribe it for patients when their Chronic lymphocytic luekemia has not responded to alkylating agents.
Fludara Side Effects
The most common side effects reported with FLUDARA® are myelosuppression, fever and chills, infection, and nausea and vomiting. Patients should be closely monitored for signs of hematologic and nonhematologic toxicity. Periodic assessment of peripheral blood counts is recommended. Myelosuppression is a condition that often occurs with chemotherapy. This condition results in fewer blood cells in the bone marrow and may lead to infection. Your doctor will treat the infection if it occurs.
